Superior crack-bridging and anti-carbonation protection

Superior crack-bridging and anti-carbonation protection

Contex EM is an elastomeric and anti-carbonation paint, specifically formulated to provide ultimate protection for high-value infrastructure projects in hot climates such as the Middle East.

Contex EM is a waterborne, elastomeric, breathable, and smooth-textured topcoat that offers excellent anti-carbonation properties. It is ideal for protecting exterior concrete structures such as bridges, by-passes and tunnels from harsh climates and environmental conditions.

Features:
  • Outstanding crack bridging
  • Exceptional weathering resistance
  • Excellent UV resistance
  • Excellent anti-carbonation properties

Ultimate, long-lasting protection

Contex EM is based on a modified pure acrylic binder that provides many superior properties like exceptional flexibility, crack-bridging properties, excellent UV resistance and outstanding weather resistance. Its low permeability, ultra-violet resistance, and low dirt pick-up ration shield concrete from the rain, sun and dust.

How does Contex EM work?

Contex EM’s anti-carbonation properties ensure that steel re-bars are effectively shielded from the carbonation process. With flexibility to accommodate structural movements, it can be applied by airless spray, or, for a lightly textured finish, it can be applied with sponge rollers.

Solutions that make a difference

Designed to provide long-lasting protection, Contex EM has become the top coating of choice for high value structures across the Middle East – as well as a wide range of other establishments.
